AUTISM UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE - Charles Blake Afternoon Reception
Crazy Crafts by Charles Blake, has so far had a resounding success at the exhibition of his work held at the Heritage Centre.
A reception will be held at the centre on Wednesday 22nd April to discuss Autism and Sensory complications as experienced by Charles. Autism presents with very many different issues affecting most, but each person is different and requires the right support to overcome their individual complexities.
Charles is hampered by not being able to use speech, but in his own words
“WHAT YOU SEE OUTSIDE IS NOT WHAT IS INSIDE. I HAVE DIFFICULTY CONTROLLING MY CRAZY BODY.”
I am sure that everyone who has visited the exhibition will agree that he has many talents and with the continued right support he is able to flourish, and in so doing lead a more meaningful existence.
Join us to get a glimpse of Charles via 3 short videos and there will be a question-and-answer opportunity too. Charles and thousands of others like him are being misunderstood and therefore being failed by not believing in their intelligence and abilities.
Refreshments will be served.
