The Land We Carry: Paint, Pixels, and Personal Horizons
How do we carry the places we love?
Following a profound life change in 2021, Yorkshire-born, Lincolnshire-based artist Vicki Shortt left her full-time career to build an art practice rooted in the landscape.
Her unique process bridges traditional and digital art – deconstructing her raw, tactile paintings and reassembling the scanned fragments into striking contemporary digital collages.
From the evolution of her expansive county- and regionally based landmarks to an ongoing exploratory new body of works created across 50 days, this exhibition traces and explores the deep emotional connection between people and places.
It is an open invitation to pause, look closer, and discover your own points of attachment to the land we share.
