Walk up the beautiful Nettleton Valley, through the heritage of the ironstone mines, which used to supply Scunthorpe, continuing up near to the highest point in the Lincolnshire Wolds, where the views are beautiful. Return to the Salutation Inn where you can order lunch and refreshments. Some of the walk is on private land. The walk is about 5 miles and needs good footwear.
