New Exhibitions for April

From Wednesday 23rd March you’ll be able to view our new exhibitions:

In the Gallery Room: Barbara Shackley and Jo McCann “Wood & Water”
Barbara Shackley and Jo McCann are mother and daughter. They enjoy painting known landscapes and seascapes, especially the Brittany Coast. The last two years have focussed their art closer to home, to the trees and fields.

In the Café Gallery: Elaine O’Donnell: '' Flamboyant Florals, Felines and Fabulous Florence. '' Everything I paint is related to my emotions and feelings, stemming from the beauty I see in flowers, loving my cats, and the excitement of Florence, Italy. My Art not only reflects reality - but also gives inspiration and hope

The Little Green Library

Caistor Library’s new collection of environmental books has been launched this week. It came out of an idea which developed when the group GO2– a Greener Footprint for Caistor, began holding meetings and gatherings at the Arts and Heritage Centre.  The manager Clare O’Shea said “I know that young people want to understand the changing world around them and books are a great way of allowing them to do this in their own time and at their own pace”. She organised the donation and purchase of environmentally themed books ranging from basics to really in-depth advanced concepts.

The nice thing is that this collection of books will always be for Caistor library users; the books will not be circulated in the county library system. The Centre is so grateful for the donations received (pre-loved good quality books as well as money for new books) and for the support of Wendy Wainwright (GLL- Lincolnshire Libraries) in getting the books to the shelves.

If you have any books you would like to donate or are willing to pledge some money to purchase books on the Little Green Library’s wish list, please do contact Clare at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre on 01472 851605 or email hello@caistorahc.org.uk

Jane Anderson and Nick McCann of GO2 launch the Litle Green Library. The official launch took place on Friday 4th March at CAHC …..let the borrowing begin!

Support Local and Win!

Did you know you can support Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre by playing the West Lindsey Lottery?

The West Lindsey Lottery is a weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in the district. Tickets for the lottery cost £1 per week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery! However, the real winners of the lottery are the good causes. From every £1 ticket sold 60 pence will go to good causes in West Lindsey.
